Have you ever been around someone that is, to put it simply, happy. They have what seems like a permanent smile on their face, and their laughter is contagious. It just makes you feel all warm inside, doesn’t it?
Now, the reverse…
You’re around someone that is just in a terrible mood. Their face is stone cold, their eyes have a look of pity, and they just are not fun to be around. It kind of makes you feel like you shouldn’t be in a good mood because they aren’t. It’s a shame.
Everyone’s attitude is contagious, positive or negative. We, as individuals, have the power to shape the attitudes of those around us, but we don’t even realize it. Single-handedly, you can make the people around you be happy. I’m sure you think I’m just a big bag of lies right now, but I almost promise that I’m not.
I believe that you can make people feel the way you want them to feel. Hopefully you don’t want to make people feel like crap all the time, and you make people happy instead. Honestly, there’s no better feeling than seeing a smile come across someone’s face and knowing that you are what caused that happiness. If you haven’t experienced that, then do it. Like, right now.
Imagine how much of a better place the world would be if everyone was happy (at least 80% of the time.) I totally understand that sometimes you’re cranky and you just want to wallow in your sassiness, but being happy is better (I tried to come up with a better word, but my head hurts currently.)
If you need a helpful hint on how to make people around you happy, then you have come to the right blog my friend. In my personal experience, corny, sarcastic, weird, not-even-that-funny jokes make people at least crack a smile 100% of the time. If they don’t crack a smile at first, then laugh at yourself like a total idiot, and they will laugh along with you. This is a money-back guarantee. I’ll bet 15 cents on it. Seriously.
Be positive, be happy, tell weird jokes, and you will notice a change (for the better) in the people around you. I promise.
