About

My name is Julia (Romito) Ish, and I started this blog in 2014 with one goal in mind: to help people.

I believe that each and every one of us has gone through extraordinary circumstances. We have faced trials and tribulations that have molded us into the people we are today, and that’s a beautiful thing.

Profile pictureI love sitting down and pouring my heart and soul into my posts. I truly speak from the heart in the hopes of people resonating with what I have to say. I want you to feel what I feel and know what I know.

This blog is meant to be a source for people to turn to when they need it. I focus on mental health and wellness and whatever else my heart wants to say on a given day. I hope this becomes a place you can turn to when you need it, and an outlet for you to distract your mind with good things.

If you’d like to know more about me and why I began this blog in the first place, check out my story.

With love,
Julia

  1. I’ve thought about you and your friends and prayed about all of you these last four years…Im so glad you are expressing yourself and I pray you find peace…I will continue to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers…you are a beautiful young woman and I truly believe God has a bigger plan for you❀

  2. Being that i understand what you are going through (not exactly every situation is different) just wow. You ability to live with purpose and be happy despite what has happened to you is truly my inspiration. Last week was the 4 year anniversary of my accident and best friends death which as you know is difficult for so many reasons. On the anniversary i usually read sad quotes and watch sad movies allowing myself to cry, but this year i also read your blog, to add some happiness and inspiration into my day.
Thanks for being so brave and sharing your thoughts with everyone. You have no idea how much they truly help me feel like i am not alone. <3

    1. You have no idea how happy it makes me that my blogs helped you! That is the reason I write them. People that are in our situation are hard to come by, but it helps knowing that someone else knows what you are going through. Just know that you’re never alone, and if you ever want to talk about absolutely anything you can contact me! Stay strong, you have a purpose.

  3. I just wanted to say that I am thinking of you and your family today and all of those whom were affected by the tragedy 3 years ago!

Also, you should seriously consider starting a vlog on YouTube or something, you have so much wisdom and emotions you could share that people don’t always get to see through reading.

  4. Are you close with Lexi’s sister since the accident, or her parents? And were you close with the 3 other people that passed away?

    1. I was close with her family, and I try to keep in touch but life often gets in the way of that unfortunately. I wasn’t close with Jeff, Blake, or Kevin. That was the first time I every hung out with them actually, but they were amazing people.

  5. I’m from eastern ohio and heard about your story on the news when it happened. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers ever since. You’re such a strong person. I truly enjoy reading your blog!
