Confidence is Key

If you’re confident in yourself, then you can achieve absolutely anything. That’s a 100% factual Julia guarantee.

The other day someone told me, “You can tell you’re so much more confident in yourself than you used to be. It just radiates.” And it really got me thinking…

I used to be so concerned with what everyone thought about me, especially in high school. My personality would form into those around me, so I honestly didn’t even know who I was. As a result, I was incredibly self-conscious.

I really couldn’t tell you when or why this happened, but somewhere between my sophomore year of high school and today, my confidence did a complete 180.

I no longer care about what other people think about me, and it’s liberating. I’m confident in myself, and I don’t care if people don’t agree with me 100% (or even 50%) of the time. Honestly, being confident changes every aspect of your life.

If you’re in a big group of people and you don’t agree with something they’re saying or doing, would you speak up? Probably not, but I want you to change your way of thinking. Imagine that you saying something to deter your friends from doing something stupid could change someone’s life. I know, its drastic, but seriously.

People my age don’t usually think about the consequences of what they’re doing. They may know that it’s not a good idea, but 9 times out of 10, they don’t speak up about it. You HAVE to speak up. That’s where the whole being confident in yourself thing comes into play.

You have to look at the big picture instead of the little moment that you’re stuck in. It may be scary (or absolutely terrifying) to say your unpopular opinion in front of your friends, but your opinion really does matter. You matter. Every single thing that you do or say matters.

Be confident in everything that you say and do. You’re an awesome person and people should see the real you.
